Crochet Vampire Pattern

The connection between Bram Stoker's Dracula and Vlad the Impaler is well known although it's often thought that there aren't many similarities beyond the name. Another inspiration was Stoker's friend Henry Irving from whom he derived Dracula's mannerisms. Dracula is often thought of as the pivotal vampire novel and basis for the modern vampire, although vampires have along history in folklore and Le Fanu's novel Carmilla had been published 25 years before, and indeed it inspired the distinct vampire genre which is still popular today.
