Crochet Valentine Bear Pattern

Body

Begin with pink yarn

Round 1: mr, 6 sc (6)

Round 2: inc in each stitch (12)

Round 3: sc in 3 stitches, inc in next stitch; repeat 3x (15) 

Round 4-6: sc around x3 (15)

fo, leaving a tail. Repeat rounds 1-6 but do not fo

Round 7: Work a sc into the other leg, joining them together

sc 15, and when you reach the other leg continue another sc 15 until you reach where you started and have 30 sc total

From here you can continue working in the round as usual (you can also close the hole between the legs using the tail from the first leg)

Round 8: sc around (30)

Round 9: sc in 4 stitches, inc in next stitch; repeat 6x (36)

Round 10-19: sc around x10 (36)  

Round 20: sc in 4 stitches, dec in next stitch; repeat 6x (30)

Round 21-23: sc around x3 (30)

Round 24: sc in 3 stitches, dec in next stitch; repeat 6x (24)

Round 25-30: sc around x6 (24)

Round 31: sc in 2 stitches, dec in next stitch; repeat 6x (18)

Round 32: sc around (18)

Place the safety eyes ~3 stitches down, with 5 stitches between them.

Fill with stuffing

Round 33: sc in 1 stitch, dec in next stitch; repeat 6x (12)

Round 34: dec around (6x)

fo, close the remaining 6 stitches through the front loops and weave ends in


Snout

Begin with pink yarn

Round 1: mr, 4 sc (4)

Round 2: inc in each stitch (8)

Round 3-4: sc around x2 (8)

slst to fo, leaving a tail to sew it onto the body with

Sew it on between the eyes

Embroider on a nose (create a triangle and fill it in) 


Ear (x2)

Begin with pink yarn

Round 1: mr, 6 sc (6) 

Round 2: inc in each stitch (12)

slst to fo, leaving a tail to sew it onto the body with

Sew it onto the top of the head (think of it as diagonal to the eyes), bend them to give it shape


Tail

Begin with pink yarn

Round 1: mr, 4 sc (4)

Round 2: inc in each stitch (8)

Round 3-4: sc around x2 (8)

slst to fo, leaving a tail to sew it onto the body with

Sew it onto the back


Heart

Begin with red yarn

Round 1: mr, 6 sc (6)

Round 2: inc in each stitch (12)

Round 3: sc in 3 stitches, inc in next stitch; repeat 3x (15)

Round 4-5: sc around x2 (15)

fo, leaving a tail. Repeat rounds 1-6 but do not fo

Round 7: Work a sc into the other leg, joining them together; sc around both (30)

Round 8: sc in 4 stitches, dec in next stitch, repeat 5x (25)

Round 9:  sc in 3 stitches, dec in next stitch, repeat 5x (20)

Round 10: sc in 2 stitches, dec in next stitch, repeat 5x (15)

Fill with stuffing

Round 11: sc in 1 stitch, dec in next stitch, repeat 5x (10)

Round 12: dec around (5x)

fo and weave ends in


Arm (x2)

Begin with pink yarn

Round 1: mr, 6 sc (6)

Round 2: inc in each stitch (12)

Round 3-: sc around x12 (12)  

slst to fo then sew the ends together

Sew the arms onto the sides of the bear at an angle, I would recommend using the heart as guidance to make sure it will wrap around


Place the heart at the center of the bear and sew the arms on at the bottom of it (so the bear is holding it)
